SUNDAY SCHOOL
We cheerfully invite you to attend our Liberty Hall Cathedral of Praise Sunday School. We welcome children of all ages and we even have classes for adults. Our theme scripture is found in Matthew 19:14
“Jesus said “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them for such is the Kingdom of heaven”
Here at Liberty Hall we create an atmosphere where children can come and meet others of their own ages. They will be taught about the love and saving power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We also counsel them on ethical and safety issues.
The children are encouraged to be a part of the Sunday School Choir and is quite delighted to minister in songs each third Sunday of the month in the Adult Sanctuary.
Our Annual Pre-Easter and Christmas programs give our children the opportunity to sing, recite and dance to the Glory of God. In the Fall we give our children an alternate to Halloween. This is our “Bible Character Day”. Here the children dress in costumes and relive the lives and adventures of the biblical characters of old.
The children’s birthdays are celebrated with even cake portions given to be taken home to be enjoyed. Our snack coordinators ensure that each child is given a delightful snack which they thoroughly enjoy.
We offer free transportation to and from church for our children and they are in the capable hands of their drivers and matrons.
Our Children’s Church offers storytelling, memory verses, drama and art and craft. They also have the opportunity to join the Dance Ministry here at Liberty Hall.
The Sunday School offers an Out-reach program for our children where they are encouraged to visit the River Manor Nursing Home where they minister in exaltations, dance and songs.
Summer Camp
Liberty Hall Cathedral of Praise offers a yearly Summer Camp. This year we start on Monday, June 30th and runs through Friday August 15th. Our camp offers a safe environment where the students are taught the bible. We offer a daily reading program, math, nutrition, drama, storytelling and art and craft. We also have weekly trips and field day. Breakfast and lunch are provided by the School Food Services.
Students are given the opportunity to “show off” their skills in talent shows and modeling their own designs made from very resourceful materials.
Why should children attend Sunday School?
- When we minister to children we are acting in obedience to God (Ex 12:26). Our children will learn that God will protect them and that He is faithful.
- The young person is encouraged to remember God before the days of trouble (Ecc 12:1).
- When we teach children about God it prepares them to resist temptation.
- In the New Testament, Jesus says to evangelize, disciple and minister to children. When we teach children we are obeying the Great Commission. “Go into the world and preach the good news to all creation (Mark 16:15). God creates children and He sees them as special. In most all of the world, most of the people are children.
- When children are taught, we can be assured of God’s blessings (Deu 5:29,33). This will surely affect the next generation of society (Judges 2:10-11), (Ps 78:2-17).
- When we minister to children we are following the example of Jesus (Matt 10:42), (Matt 21:14-15).
- When we minister to children they will receive Christ and His love and receive Eternal rewards.
- The earlier a child comes to Christ, it is a fact that he is more open to receiving the gospel because of their innocence, purity, humility and their desire to know God.
- When we minister to children, families are brought into the church.
- Ministering to children prepares future missionaries and pastors.
- Ministering to children lay the foundation for them to become future members of the church.
